It is a popular large gathering (popular hat) that is sold every year at Ebisu Shrine in Kyoto as a lucky charm of "Ebisu" in January.
 Straw is knitted in the shape of a shade, and a red cloth is hung around it, and the paper of "Popular Daiya" is hung down, so it is also called a popular shade. A doll wearing a colored paper kimono is hung in the shade with straw as the core. It is an elegant local toy in which a colored paper doll dances when the straw hat hung on bamboo bamboo shakes.
