The earthen Hirashimizu Daruma was sold at the first market in the suburbs of Yamagata City and was popular as an auspicious daruma, but it was discontinued in the Showa period.
Daruma is a heavy clay doll with a baby-faced beard and Ebisu Daikoku on his stomach.
